Symptoms? Frequent bathroom visits and slight to moderate cramping/minor abdominal aches, Braxton Hicks contractions, and not having the easiest time finding a comfortable position while resting/sleeping ... second trimester, I miss you!
Total weight gain/loss: At 27 weeks I was at 153 - up 20 lbs., and at 28 weeks, I was at 155 - up 22 lbs. total. Sheesh! Just keep telling myself this giant belly means one healthy baby :)
Maternity clothes? Yes, yes, and yes.
Food cravings: Pulled pork sammys, canned peaches, yogurt-covered pretzels, steak (got the most amazing steak at a restaurant recently that totally satisfied this craving for a while - yum!), a Krispy Kreme donut (original glazed), lemonade, chocolate milk ...
Anything making you queasy or sick: Just anything with a really strong smell.
Stretch marks? Negative!
Sleep: Still not great ... it's really tough to get comfy. I've recently resorted to using Steve as a body pillow, which seems to help.
Best moment this week: Best moment over these two weeks was probably choosing our hospital! We'll be at an absolutely beautiful, brand new hospital in Issaquah, WA called Swedish. It's where my doctor's OB office is, and everything from the lobby to the birthing rooms are gorgeous! So happy to cross that off the list :)
Miss Anything? I'm going to miss beer on Super Bowl Sunday. I'm going to miss it a lot. :(
Movement: Oh my goodness, yes. She kicks, stretches out, rolls around, does gymnastics, etc. She's definitely healthy! She also really favors my right side ... apparently that's the cool place to hang out in the womb.
Belly size: Here are the most recent belly pics -
I was told to "work it" ... rawr.
Belly Button in or out? Innie
Wedding rings on or off? Both rings are still comfortably on.
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy, happy, happy! Even the hubby says I've been pretty good as far as hormones go :)
Baby Stuff Purchased? We finally made a trip to Babies R Us and purchased some of the bigger items we need - yay! We now have an Arm & Hammer Diaper Pail (I heart it's a must), a bouncer with music and vibrations, a pack n' play, and a baby bathtub/spa. This is what we picked out:
We also ordered the stroller/infant car seat we registered for - it had to be transferred from another store, so we'll get it soon.
Looking forward to: Finalizing our birth plan (I'm leaning toward trying to do a natural birth ... Lord help me!), ordering/receiving the rest of Scarlett's baby furniture and gear, and completing our renovation of both our bedroom and the girls' room/nursery to make room for everything. Nesting is in overdrive!
