32 Weeks - Pains, Pressure, and Already Missing This Pregnancy

How far along? The pic is from 32 weeks ... Scarlett weighs almost 4 lbs. and is already the length she will be at birth! She also has fingernails, toenails, and hair on her head :) Since not a whole lot is changing week-to-week at this point, I'll probably do a picture every other week. Getting so close to the end now!
Belly size: Here's the belly:

Oh wait, just kidding - this is me exactly 1 year ago. Little bitty body, I'll see you again soon!

HERE is the new belly pic! (I really am going to miss it ...)

Symptoms? Frequent bathroom visits, the occasional cramp, Braxton Hicks a couple of times during the week, sore pelvis and hips from the giant belly, and swelling ... oh, the swelling. If I'm on my feet too much or too long, they swell up - along with my ankles - and it's gotten slightly uncomfortable. Drinking lots of water, putting my feet up, and cutting back on salty foods has helped a lot.
Total weight gain/loss: Up 29 lbs. total - 162 lbs.
Maternity clothes? Yep - and I just treated myself to a new pair of yoga pants and a comfy cozy robe to pack in the hospital bag.
Food cravings: Toasted whole wheat English muffins with melted peanut butter, Lipton noodle soup, spinach with vinegar, orange juice, French onion soup, vanilla ice cream, chocolate pudding, bananas
Anything making you queasy or sick: Anything with a really strong smell
Stretch marks? None yet!
Sleep: Sleeping alright, but Steve says I scream in my sleep from the weird pregnancy nightmares.
Best moment this week: Steve put Scarlett's awesome dresser/changing table combo together, I washed ALL of her clothes and blankets, and started filling the drawers. Such a relief for a crazy, nesting mama! We also put these brand new white wooden bunk beds with new mattresses and bedding in the girls' room ... makes the girls feel included to have something new amongst all the baby stuff, and it really makes the room look cute and girly. I'll post pictures once the room is done :)

Miss Anything? Herbal tea and caffeinated drinks, since apparently I'm really not supposed to drink either. Excited to not have all these limits on what I can eat/drink! (But she sure is worth it :)
Movement: Sooo much movement! I can feel where her feet are most of the time ... And she's so big now that when she flips around, I can see my entire belly move. It's also fun to set a small object - like a pen or something - on the belly and watch her move it. It's the coolest thing!!
Labor Signs: Nope!
Belly Button in or out? Still an innie, believe it or not.
Wedding rings on or off? This week I started taking them off every now and then because my fingers would swell and then go back to normal. I feel like I won't be able to wear them at all very soon :(
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy most of the time, moody a handful of times this week ...
Baby Stuff Purchased? More diapers (we're going to try Huggies Natural and Pampers Swaddlers Sensitive to start with), more wipes, some more super cute baby clothes (I can't help myself!) including her going home from the hospital outfit.
Looking forward to: Well at this point, I'm REALLY looking forward to meeting our girl, of course; looking forward to my mama flying in on March 27th for the birth (hopefully Scarlett waits that long!); also hanging decorations above her crib and on her bedroom walls :)

30 Weeks - Nesting, Nesting, and More Nesting

How far along? The pic is from last week, when I was at 30 weeks. Ummm, we're out of the 20's now? Are you sure?? Sheesh. Anyway, Sweet Baby Scarlett weighs in at a whopping 3 lbs. now and is approaching birth length - about 17 in. long. Our big, beautiful, growing girl!!
Symptoms? Frequent bathroom visits, the occasional cramp, Braxton Hicks a couple of times during the week, sore pelvis and hips from the giant belly.
Total weight gain/loss: Up 25 lbs. total - 158 lbs. Grow, Baby, grow!!
Maternity clothes? With the exception of my yoga pants/sweats and a few shirts, I'm all maternity.
Food cravings: Pancakes, toasted whole wheat bagels with cream cheese or peanut butter, peaches, yogurt, green beans, plain (or chocolate) milk
Anything making you queasy or sick: Anything with a really strong smell, or reading/looking at my phone in the car ... which normally doesn't bother me.
Stretch marks? Steve made a comment about how great my skin looks and how lucky I am to not have a single stretch mark, which made me curious enough to look it up - apparently only about 10% of pregnant women do not get any stretch marks. Sweet! I also need to add that my complexion has never been better ... as someone who has struggled with breakouts for years, I was shocked to discover that pregnancy hormones make my skin completely clear.
Sleep: I have decent nights and awful ones. Naps are my friend!
Best moment this week: Getting Scarlett's crib assembled in our bedroom - makes it seem so much more real! Pictures will come once the bedding is on and everything's looking cute, but this is the crib we ended up going with:

Miss Anything? Wearing regular pants? Yep, that.
Movement: My ribs and bladder would say yes, and lots of it. My doctor told me about doing kick counts to monitor her health based on fetal movement, but no need - she's definitely healthy!
Belly size: Here's the belly:

Labor Signs: Nope!
Belly Button in or out? Still an innie
Wedding rings on or off? Both rings are still on, although my fingers and feet did experience their first swelling this week ... I had to take the rings off for a little bit, but they are back on. I hate not wearing them!
Happy or Moody most of the time: Mood has been great :)
Baby Stuff Purchased? Oh my goodness, yes. Mom and Dad bought us our crib (they're the BEST!) and this Mama went into overdrive and started stockin' up on some baby gear!

Our changing table/dresser arrived! So excited to put it together :)
We went and picked up our stroller and matching infant carseat - yay!
I ordered Scarlett this baby gym, since it's something she can play with pretty much right away.
I decided to go with one of the nicer breast pumps - a Medela - since I'd like Steve (and others) to be able to feed her, too. Considering the job it does, I didn't feel like this was the thing to skimp on. Here's hoping that nursing goes well, right?
The baby monitor - nothing fancy, but it got great reviews. I think it's a little bit silly to spend all that money on a high-def video monitor that automatically uploads videos of your sleeping baby to Facebook, or whatever it is they do. This one's just got the basics.
Got my Boppy! Isn't the owl pattern cute?
And last, but not least - her sound machine. It plays white noise and other calming sounds, as well as a few lullabies ... plus, you can hook up your iPod to it so Baby can fall asleep to anything you want.
Looking forward to: My answer is still the same - cleaning out/reorganizing the girls' room/nursery and getting Scarlett's stuff all put together and in its proper place. Things are really coming together :)
